About Bharatiya Sanskriti and Sampradaya
Bharatiya Sanskriti and Sampradaya (BSS) is a cultural organisation based in Reading, Berkshire, United Kingdom. Founded to serve the Indian diaspora and the wider community, BSS is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and celebrating the ancient civilisation, diverse cultural heritage, and spiritual wisdom of Bharat.
BSS follows the Advaita Vedanta philosophy of Sri Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya and maintains a deep connection with the Shringeri Sharada Peetham. The organisation honours the Guru Parampara and endeavours to keep alive the living traditions of Indian arts, music, dance, language, yoga, and devotion for present and future generations.
Through regular cultural events, spiritual programmes, and community gatherings across Reading and Berkshire, BSS brings together families, artists, and seekers — fostering a profound sense of identity, pride, and belonging. Whether you are attending a classical music concert, a festival of lights, or a Vedic discourse, BSS welcomes all who wish to connect with the timeless heritage of India.
